Technologie

Compared to conventional laser technology, considerably higher precision can be achieved with ultrashort pulse laser processing.

The special advantage is, any material can be processed, regardless of the hardness, the optical properties or melting temperature.

Technology Characteristic of ablation with ultrashort laser pulses in the picosecond and femtosecond range is that the energy is concentrated locally in the solid material so strongly that a direct ionization of the material is possible without causing damage to the surrounding material. This makes it possible to prevent the development of melting, micro-fissures, warping and unwelcome deposits.

With ultrashort pulse lasers materials of any kind, such as metals, ceramics, semiconductors, polymers and even biological materials can be reproducibly processed with high precision.
